Message from the President
“Connecting Generations and Communities — A Private-Sector Platform for U.S.–Korea Economic Cooperation”
Dear Members of the Korea Chapter, esteemed business leaders in Korea, and Korean American community members,
It is a great honor to greet you through the Korea Chapter as the 30th President of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA (KACCUSA). Since its founding in 1980, KACCUSA has served as the central organization for Korean American business leaders across the United States and as a key private-sector platform advancing economic cooperation between Korea and the United States. The Korea Chapter plays an essential role in this mission as a strategic partner and a vital bridge connecting the two economies.
As President, I look forward to working closely with the Korea Chapter to achieve the following goals:
First, we will strengthen collaboration between regional chambers and the Korea Chapter to expand practical support for businesses.
We will provide timely and structured information on policy updates, taxation, regulatory changes, and funding opportunities so that companies in both Korea and the United States can access greater opportunities.
Second, we will invest in developing the next generation of Korean American business leaders.
We will actively support mentoring, education, and networking programs that empower second- and third-generation entrepreneurs to thrive on the global stage and lead the future of our community.
Third, we will deepen cooperation with the Korean government and key economic institutions.
By working closely with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), the Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ), the Overseas Koreans Agency, and other partners, we aim to support Korean companies entering the U.S. market and strengthen our role as a private-sector bridge for U.S.–Korea economic cooperation.
Fourth, we will create more meaningful platforms for business exchange between Korean and American companies.
In particular, we will actively support member companies’ participation in major U.S. trade shows to help expand exports and build strong on-the-ground networks.
KACCUSA, together with the Korea Chapter, will continue to grow as a central platform for private-sector economic diplomacy, driving the success and partnership of companies in both nations.
Your engagement and support are essential to shaping our shared future.
Thank you.
Byunggu Hwang
30th President
